Anyone know about Ophiuchus?

So I heard about this "13th sign" called Ophiuchus which (I think) is between Scorpio and Sagittarius. Does anyone know anything more about it? What are its qualities? What element do you think it would fall under? Is it similar to any of the other signs?

According to the boundaries for the constellations adopted by the International Astronomical Union in 1921, there are 13 signs of the zodiac instead of the usual 12; time from Ophiuchus the snake handler is usually included in time given to Scorpius. If you already know your astrological sign from reading an astrology column in a newspaper or from consultation with an astrologer, you may be surprised that few of these dates correspond to the dates listed in the newspaper's astrological column. Why? Generally, listed astrological signs and the dates given by most astrologers assume that you were born around 140 AD.

This is nine years before Pluto was discovered. Pluto took a little while but attributes were made up for it. Twelve is the magic number. Astrology can not be anything else but twelve signs because it divides easy. Add or take away one sign and you will have a prime number. These can not be divided at all.

Astrology rules change only when there is an advantage.

I don't think it's a sign,since if it was,then I would be a Cancer and I got no Cancer qualities at all.

Now,look at it this way -

12 signs.

4 elements.

3 qualities.

12 can be divided to both.

Do you see a 13 belonging in any of these?What would be his element?The medicine?What's his quality?The doctor? ;D

there isn't 13 sign, it's a way to stereotype some people that should there. there isn't any

I know that constellations are only a result of man's pattern-finding needs. Stars in constellations have no other links than the ones man "found" for them. Not in distance, not in brightness, not in anything. I also know that vedic astrology uses the actual constellations. Ergo, vedic astrology needs to update their calculations urgently.

Western astrology, although using the same names as the constellations that were then known in the zodiac wheel, does *not* use the actual constellations as a basis. Hence, there will be no altering horoscopes and there is no 13th sign, no new qualities and no elements.
