Anyone know about Web Design programs?

Question

I have a MAC. So it has to be compatible with it. I remember how to use Front Page by Microsoft, so I wanted something similar to that. And Something I can download. Help anyone? I was thinking about buying the Adobe Dreamweaver CS3. But I want to see if there's anything I can download and try before.

Please don't tell me about how you hate MACs or leave ridiculous answers, because it's just really irritating.

Adobe Dreamweaver is definitely the best (you can download a free trial). If you are looking for something for free,  NVU is the best free alternative to Dreamweaver.

Dreamweaver is hands down the industry standard for most web design. Get the free trial, but don't expect Front Page. In the professional web design world, the words "Front Page" tend to evoke hatred and anger. As far as my list of "Top Things That Drive me insane in Web Design" goes...Front Page is up in the top 5, right next to Frames and Splash pages.

Anyhoo...

Dreamweaver is hard to use, I won't lie. But, take a look at some tutorials and you should get the hang of it after some time. If you end up buying it, I'd also suggest buying Hands On Training: Dreamweaver CS3 by Chow (Published by Lynda.com). Great book for beginners...it gets right in to showing you a lot of tricks that you will otherwise spend a lot of time messing with.

i have used nvu a open source creator but it is not quite even near dreamweaver
