I hurt my back a month and half ago. I went to a doctor right after it happened. He thought I wrenched my back so he put me on some anti-inflamatory meds and muscle relaxers. Well it got worse so he had an MRI done and I have 2 disc bulging (one of them with a tear) and a few that ruptured. I do lifting up to 50 lbs on my job and a lot of bending over. I'm a greeting card merchandiser. So with the injuries I won't be able to do my job because it's a requirement to lift and bend over. I see a orthopedic on Tuesday to discuss treatment. So how long do you have to be off to start getting wages paid? Also I work part time at a greeting card store (franchise store) so my manager there took me off the schedule. She said because of the injury it could cause them a liability problem. Will Work Comp have to pay for those wages too? I'm in Indiana.
