  1. Rather than guessing, I'm going to actually answer your question as a ticket clerk for London Underground...

The Family Railcard (and any - Senior, Young Persons, HM Forces etc) ARE valid on LU services and tickets.  Present it at any ticket office and you'll be entitled to an OFF PEAK travel card at a discounted rate.  Ã‚£4.80 for zones 1-6, or £5.40 for zones 1-9 (for stations north of Moor Park.

Child tickets on a Family Railcard are £1, but then children travel for £1 with an adult anyway during off peak times (after 9.30am monday to friday, and weekends and public holidays).

The only exceptions are Network Railcards with a red "R" in a circle, which are only valid on LU at weekends, due to a minimum fare of £10 midweek, and Young Persons Railcards, which are only valid AFTER 10am, not 9.30 like all others, except in July and August when they're valid from 9.30.

  2. Most rail cars are usable on any train from any destination within the national rail system. So basically that most trains that operate within the UK.

However i don't think you can use it on the London underground.

  3. Yes u can use it all over the uk

  4. It is not valid for discounts on London Underground.

  5. Definitely a Family Railcard is NOT valid on London Underground services, but it is on services of mainline trains
