  1. Basically as Fred told you . Hokkien is a Min Nan Word meaning Fujian (current province of China from where the language come, and probably many of the emigrants going from China to South East Asia) . Min Nan language (or Southern Min Chinese), hokkien/Fujianese apart, includes Amoy dialect (Amoy is the old name for Xiamen, big City in the south of Fujian Province) , Taiwanese, Hainanese (spoken in Hainan Island) and Chaozhou (or Teochew) dialect (a northern Guangdong / Cantonese dialect).

Hokkien (in its Fujian Province meaning) is used to define the self defined Hoklo  or Holo people and language, an Han Chinese ethnic population coming from South Fujian and widespread in Taiwan and south east Asia

  2. What do you want to know. They all speak Hokkien, also known as Taiwanese or minnan hua. This is one of the 3 prominent languages spoken by Chinese in these areas, the others being Cantonese and Mandarin.
