  1. the energy obtained from the sun is solar energy.which is good from every point of view to use or utilize.

that's good thing u are doing.

i too wish to ollow out the same thing.

anyway, hope u know how to do it .

if not u can seek advice from some releated organization.

plz, encourage your friends too,to follow up your idea.

using sola power means to save our fuels and also to save the sun's energy being wasted.

    take care.

  2. I know that if your solar panels produce more energy than needed to power your home, it can be sold back to the company, and they will pay you for it! Sounds good to me!

  3. I highly recommed using solar power as an additional source of energy for your home. Depending on your location there may even be government subsidies that could help offset the cost, or help you to obtain an even larger system off the start. The website below contains some basic information on solar power as well as a matching system where you can post your project details and get responses from energy experts/contractors who really know the answers.

  4. Without incentives, commerically-purchased solar PV systems currently don't pay for themselves within their lifetime.   In some parts of the US, however, there are quite a few incentives available that can bring the cost down.  It will still cost you thousands of dollars, and take many years to pay for itself.

I'd suggest finding a local solar vendor (who will know much more about the amount of sun you get in your particular location, as well as local incentive opportunities) and get a cost quote - even just a rough budget number - from them.  That will help you make a decision about whether you want to go with solar or not.

I'll put two links below.  One shows all the incentives currently available in the US for renewable energy systems (as well as for energy efficiency improvements).   The other is a way to find a local solar PV vendor.

    Good luck.

  5. It's still very expensive to go off grid. I suggest you begin by learning to conserve and use your power wisely.

Then start small. I started by using solar for all my outdoor lighting.

LED lights are the only things efficient enough for solar. Spotlights with at least 3 LED's and a separate solar panel (maybe 6x6 inches) in a kit sold at Home Depot are a good start.

One of these kits lights up my office at home, panel outside, wires through the window and the 3 spotlights provide nice accent lighting although the computer monitor provides most of the light in the room

I just got a spotlight with motion sensor from Princess Auto but haven't installed it yet.

  6. Sorry, I don't really know that much about it.  I just wanted to say thank you.  I wish more people cared enough about the way we are ruining the world to actually do something about it.

    good job!

  7. It is very expensive. If u do have the supports designed to hold the panels in winds of 100 mph.

  8. Here's a good site that gives you information about solar energy:
