are you thinking of the halwa made by joya? it might look nasty but it's mad good.

could you mean halvah?  It is a sweet made with sesame seeds.  It was a treat my father loved and always bought for us when I was a kid.  here in Rochester Minnesota, I can only find the vanilla with chocolate swirl kind but I prefer plain vanilla.  Made by Joya and delicious.
