the crimes were 10 + yrs ago, one was grand theft auto. the person is totally reformed. they have to go to the us embassy to declare their convictions. Do you think there is a good chance they will be allowed to travel to the US? do many people get denied if its not drug or s*x-crime related?

  1. If it is an old property crime about which the applicant was truthful, all debts to society have long been paid, and there is no other derogatory information, then chances are good that the visa will be issued.

  2. I don't know about the crime part but I do know this. As US Citizens we do not need a "Visa" to go to UK, and some European countries, so do you. You do not need a Visa to come to the US. I forget what it's called, but you don't need a Visa.
