Terra Mitica theme park is fun and I don't think it's too far away from Alicante?

I lived in Alicante for 2yrs. Pretty much you just have the beach and a couple of stores. I used to catch the bus to the big mall and walk around. There are some cities near by like Benidorm that has some attractions such as Terra Mitica (amusement park with roller coasters), Mundomar (Sea World), and Aqualandia.
