I've asked at the rinks, tried craigslist, all the Chicago listing websites and scoured the internet to no avail. Can anyone help me or recommend someone to help me get my skating level improved?

  1. Usually Hockey is taught through teams not individually. There are many hockey clubs in the Chicago area. The Huskies used to be in the one I skated in. Check out the Downers Grove Ice Arena, Seven Bridges Ice Arena, Center Ice in Glen Ellyn and Darien Sportsplex in Darien to start. (there are about 50 rinks in Chicagoland total) They all have adult and kids hockey leagues. If they can't help you sign up there you can always play rat hockey, it's usually late at night and anyone can play.

If you are looking for figure skating though those same places but they all have ISI or USFSA skating schools and you can sign up for lessons too.

    I hope this helps!
