Anyone know an ideal location for both surfing and snowboarding?

My Missus is a keen snowboarder and Im a diehard surfer, can anyone reveal a location of any such utopia where we can settle and bring up lucky little groms in a paradise of waves and powder? We're thinking of New Zealand and Aus although we're not afraid of the cold.

Southern California.  There are some great surf spots and you are close to Lake Tahoe Ski resorts.  Plus, Colorado isn't that far away either.

Check out British Columbia, Canada. There are some awesome surfing sites on Vancouver Island as well as some snowboarding sites. And they speak english.....

New Zealand gets my vote.  I think you'll be in luck too since large surf and pristine powder occur during winter.  Good luck.
