Anyone know any good cafe's and cinema's near Leeds Train Station?

my brother is attending an audition, which will last about 6 hours and I need something to occupy myself with

  1. If you leave the station and walk up Albion Street (everyone knows where that is, just ask)  quite a way, you'll find The Lights' which has a cinema complex and quite a few different eateries in there.  There's always Starbucks on the way up Albion Street too.  Or if you turn right out of the station and walk along Boar Lane until you reach the main shopping street on the left, there's a borders book shop up there with a cafe inside.  Quite a few of the big stores have cafes inside and the station is right in the middle of town, no long walks.


  2. If you've got six hours then get away from Leeds station.  There is a large ,modern cinema complex a couple of miles out on Kirkstall Road.  The cafés are nicer and cheaper round there.  Best for cafés is around Headingly, the immense student quarter and around three miles from the centre.
