  1. Apparently classical music stimulates the brain of the child when its in the womb, worth a try, did it for my son and he's top of the class for pretty much everything at school..... so who knows. (i just know he didnt get his interlect off me or his mom...lol)

  2. I LOVE this song I just recently heard:  Baby Girl by Will Hoge.

    Good luck!

  3. i am a big country girl so i love country music and that always soothes me but also im due in 2 weeks and i am bringing Norah Jones cd " Come Away With me" because i think her voice and her songs are very soothing... Good Luck

  4. David Bowie - Starman

I was a week or so overdue, and my mum played this, but changed the Lyrics to

Theres a starman waiting in "MY TUM"

Hed like to come and meet us

But he CANT GET OUT MY BUM!

I was born 12hrs later think it was my mums singing!

  5. I'm prob not best suited to answer this question as I love rock music and I played Bon Jovi a lot during both my previous pregnancies :)

I play the guitar and play to my current 12wk tum :) (3rd child)

However, I did also listen to some Mozart - mainly while driving. This relaxed me and also was supposedly good for babies in the womb :)

If I had to recommend anything 'mellow' it would be James Blunt

    - oh and for an added little note, I watched Eastenders while I was on mat leave and when my daughter was born she used to turn her head towards the TV everytime she heard the theme tune! lol

  6. well whatever calms you will calm your baby..i personally listen to Time After Time from Cindy Lauper, my baby girl seems to kick everytime that certain song comes on!

  7. i loved listening to enigma i found it really relaxing and helped me sleep when my legs wouldnt keep still and i was so uncomfortable

  8. Anything that relaxes you. Nature sounds are nice and calming but Tim McGraw works too.

  9. my favourite has nothing to do with newborn or baby but about the love i was feeling for my unborn( now 15 onths old) baby was just too much so i would listen to " For you i will '"from Monica  and i used to put the earphones on my tummy too and she will kick . unitl today we still to it together
