  1. the rosemary is my fav. i have a great recipe for spicy rosemary mixed nuts too.

    Rosemary Popcorn

    1/4 cup corn oil

    1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil

    1 cup corn kernels

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

    1/4 cup chopped fresh rosemary

    1/2 cup butter, melted

In a large pot, heat the corn and olive oil. Add the corn kernels. When the oil is very hot, the corn will start to pop. Shake the pot frequently to avoid burning. When the popping has stopped, the popcorn is finished. Transfer to a large bowl and season with salt, pepper, rosemary, and butter. Try to serve warm.

    Sweet Sesame Five-Spice Popcorn

    1/2 cup unpopped corn kernels

    1/4 cup sugar

    1/4 cup vegetable oil

    1 teaspoon five-spice powder

    1 teaspoon salt

    1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds

Place popcorn, sugar, oil, five spice powder and salt in a large kettle or pot with a tight fitting lid over medium heat. When corn begins to pop, shake the pot constantly. When popping slows, remove from heat, sprinkle with sesame seeds and transfer popped kettle corn to a bowl.

    Spicy Popcorn

    Vegetable oil

    1/2 cup popping corn

    1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

    1/2 cup grated Parmesan

1/8 teaspoon black pepper, or more

Place the popcorn kernels in a heavy-bottomed large pot and add enough oil just to cover them. Put the lid on and cook on high until you hear the first pop. Immediately take it off the heat and let it sit 1 minute. Then return it to the heat and finish popping, shaking the pan the whole time. Toss the cheese with the white pepper. In a large bowl, toss the popcorn with the butter well then with the cheese and black pepper mixture and taste for seasoning.

    Savory Herb Popcorn

3 ounces popcorn kernels, approximately 1/2 cup

    1/2 teaspoon popcorn salt

1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh thyme leaves

1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh rosemary leaves

    3 tablespoons unsalted butter

Place the oil, popcorn and salt in a large, 6-quart, metal mixing bowl. Cover with heavy-duty aluminum foil and poke 10 slits in the top with a knife. Place the bowl over medium heat and shake constantly using a pair of tongs to hold the bowl. Continue shaking until the popcorn finishes popping, approximately 3 minutes. Remove the bowl from the heat and carefully remove the foil. Stir in any salt that is on the side of the bowl. Sprinkle the herbs on the popcorn and gently stir to coat. Melt the butter in the microwave. Slowly drizzle over the popcorn, while spinning the bowl. Stir to combine. Serve immediately.

  4. Well what I like to do is make popcorn balls.

You simply melt marshmallows in the microwave with a little butter,

and add the popcorn. Mix the popcorn and marshmallow melt well,

then set aside for 10 minutes to let cool.

When cool enough to handle, grease your hands then shape into balls.

This treat is salty and sweet and kids love them !

  7. Yeah, try some Jane's Crazy Mixed-Up Salt (if you can still find it), or any of Emeril's seasonings. Come to think of it, meat rubs for BBQ might work well or you could try the old Chex Mix recipe only substitute a comparable amount of popped popcorn for the Chex cereal. Try also some Italian seasoning (oregano, basil, rosemary, thyme), garlic salt and grated Parmesan cheese.

  8. Make microwave popcorn and the sprinkle some dry ranch mix on it. Or sprinkle cajun seasoning on it.
