Does anyone know any states.. where teachers make a lot of money?

I want to be a school psychologist I was told the pay varies..n the state whee you live and and school district...:p

The states where teachers make a lot of money are also the states where the cost of living is quite high. The standard of living for teachers is pretty similar in most areas of the country, even though the pay can vary.

However, states with teacher unions often pay more than ones that don't, regardless of the cost of living. The Northeast and Midwest usually have some of the best conditions for teachers... but it's also harder to get jobs there.

People always ask me what town I live in.

After I reply, "darien high" in connecticut, their eyes grow of shock and their first response is “great school program there”.

Most old teachers in my school started teaching here and never left because of the good system, and I don't see why they would leave.
