  1. St. John's Wort.  Or, alternately, Yogi Teas makes some nice blends (ie, Kava Stress Relief, Calming, Meditative Time) that I've found pleasant.  Actually, tea in general is excellent for anxiety, but if you're sensitive to caffeine, try herbal tissanes.


  2. Sleep.

    Pamper yourself. Eat a good meal. Listen to calm music or watch relaxing music. Read light material.

    Do not listen to the news for 4 weeks, This will greatly reduce anxiety.  Do not watch TV at all for 4 weeks will even further reduce anxiety and increase your sense of well being.

    Camomile, Valeria, or Nettles.

    Go to a flower shop and smell flowers.

    Hold or stroke an animal a cat, dog or horse, will reduce blood pressure.

    Embrace another Human as in hug.

    Turn off electrical devices in Home, reduce senory input.

    Do something creative or exercise.

    Passion flower

    Holy basel (Tulsi leaf)

    chamomile (mild effect)

    catnip (milde effect)

    Kava extract is very good

    (or you can buy ground up root and make a drink with milk or a lipid base in a blender, or you can chew on whole roots of it)

    go to a natural food store, whole foods will have this stuff, and other natural food stores and herb stores.  talk to an herbalist there for recomendations.

  6. A vitamin B-complex and a good multi every morning. Over time, it truly aids in reducing anxiety. Especially the B-complex.

    But mind you, it will make you pee bright yellow.

  8. Ginseng Complex in pill form.  I used to use it.  I also use Dandelion tea to take the edge off sometimes as well.  Most nutritional centers have these readily available.
