Anyone know any video capturing devices that are NOT Hypercam or Camtasia?

It'd really help because I don't think Hypercam works with my computer, its a windows xp and it's just not opening even if I search for it. If anyone knows nd capturing devices I can use with maybe Runescape then do tell.

If the camera is a minidv camcorder then you need a firewire connection.
