Anyone know anything about Imperial Majesty cruises? Is this a legitimate cruise line?

Yes, the company is legit, and appears to be doing quite well. However, their sole ship, the Regal Empress, cannot be said to be doing the same. Originally a trans-atlantic steamer, the Regal Empress certainly has seen better days. It's not awful, mind you, but not as well maintained as it ought to be (safety wise it's great, just comfort wise). The entire ship need a bit of a modernization experience.

HOWEVER, that said, Imperial Majesty offers some of the best bargains for cruises, especially for those who have never cruised before, and those who need an uber-short get away (their cruises are 2 nights). Nassau is fantastic, and a cruise is a cruise: it's what you make of it. If you go in expecting to have fun, you'll have fun.

The "Regal Empress" could do with a mayor overhaul. Actually it could do with one when I worked on her in 1997. Originally the hull was laid for an aircraft carrier but around that time the war ended and the hull has been laying around for several years before being used for a ocean liner.

The ship was owned by "Regal Cruise Line" but they ceased operations in 2003 and the ship was sold to Imperial Majesty cruises .
