  1. An upper berth is a bed that folds out from the wall.  They are usually located above the bed.  On a Fantasy class ship, the first upper is above the bed, and the second is on the opposite wall at the foot of the bed.

  2. maybe it means beds,im going in nov and i booked a singel room it has one bed but check with the cruise it shows you pictures of all most everything.

  3. an upper (in this case) is the top bed of a set of bunk beds

  4. http://www.cruising.org

  5. "Uppers" are bunks above the regular beds. They are folded against the wall and can be lowered if needed. Then they resemble bunk beds.

  6. it's a bed thats above the main bed, its locked to the wall, and your room steward unlocks it upon the start of the cruise, if it is needed

  7. do not jump overboard may cause "a scene"

  8. an upper is a bed that pulls down from the wall like a bunk bed. You should join our yahoo group to learn more about cruising. Cruisemates group.
