Anyone know anything about lifeguarding?

i work at an indoor swimming pool and my lifeguard certificationd oesnot expire until 2009,but my cpr expires every year,but the pool holds lifeguarding and cpr drills,doe this scratch the fact that my cpr is gonna expire if they have drills for me to practice?and if it doesnt,where can i take a cpr course,how much will it cost?

Yes you still need to get you CPR cert renewed.  You should ask the people running the pool if they know where you can get it renewed and they might even be able to do it for you....and maybe even pay for it. The drills are are to keep things fresh in your head incase you really need to use it while working there.

  3. You will need to get re-certified. I did CPR drills 3-4 times a week for an hour when I was a lifeguard. We trained hard core. I will never forget how to do it. Your work might pay for it. Mine did.

  4. You still have to re-certify.  Every year, no excuses, it sucks but those are the rules.  Its about $50 to re-certify, your first day of work will pay for that.
