Anyone know anything about skimboarding?

Where can i get a "good" board (foam?) and how much do they cost?

Actually, the best performance skimboards have a high density foam core with a fiberglass shell much like a surfboard or wakeboard.  Wood boards are much cheaper and typically used by beginners and can be bought many places.  Around here, they even sell them at grocery stores.

best boards are wood, best of the best go to a surf shop, a great board will set you back about 100 bucks or more, you can get a decent one at Sports authority, about 50-75 to start with . My boys started out on cheap ones about 25 bucks until they got good and mastered it, once I knew they were gonna stick to it, we went to a surf board shop and got a really good one.

the best board to start out on is a wood then go to a fiberglass board the if u get really good you should go to carbon fiber. Carbon is a lot lighter than any other boards so u can go faster.
