Don't mention Phantom....please. I mean serious, hard-core, opera's. Where your head feels like it's going to fall off at the high frequency the lady's singing at. I mean, where it makes you cry, where it makes you.....umm....cRy! Well, know any? I love opera, and I'm starting t get into it. I need help getting into it though.

  1. What about Broadway or musicals?

    Such as

    Sound of Music

    Oklahoma

Joseph and the Technicolor dream coat

    Cats

    The Scarlet Pimpernel

  2. Andrea Bocelli and Paul Potts do some very nice covers of popular opera's and are pretty easy to get you hands on too.

  3. the phantom of the opera music is good. idk if thats what ur looking for buttttt its just an idea

  4. "Der Ring des Nibelungen" by Richard Wagner. The best.

  5. La Boheme- Puccini

    I Pagliaci- Leoncavallo

    Le nozze di Figaro-Mozart

    La Traviatta- Verdi

    Eugen Onegin- Tchaikovsky

Extraordinary music, story lines that any human being can relate to, and different periods of music history represented in each one (except Boheme and Pagliaci... they were composed about the same time)  Anyway these are some of my favorites.  There are so many more... and if you want to cry find a recording of I Pagliaci with Del Monico as Canio singing "vesta la giuba"... read the translation, get a gist of what is happening in the opera at that time, listen, and I promise you'll cry.

  6. Madame Butterfly

    beautiful, passionate, amazing, opera

  7. Listen to Maria Callas.  There are many operas out there, go online and sample.

  8. Song: E Lucevan Le Stelle

    Song: Vesti La Giubba

    Opera: Tosca, and Pagliacci

I love them all I cry every time.
