  1. unscrew the plug on the bottom of your oil reservoir drain it follow the hose to the filter... change it too but the dealership you bought it at should change it for free

  2. The oil drain bolt is at the lowest part of the engine, facing forward (17mm).

Remove the fairing lower to prevent making a mess.

Remove the drain bolt and hold the bike upright to fully drain it.

Install the bolt and a new crush washer if necessary.

The spin-on oil filter is on the front of the crankcase, behind the exhaust pipes.

Remove the left, or right side fairing (you determine which is best).

Make a ramp out of cardboard to guide the oil away from draining on the exhaust after removing the oil filter.

    Remove the oil filter.

When the oil stops dripping, clean the engine surface the filter touches.

Dip your finger in oil, wet the o-ring of the new filter.

Grab the filter with your fingers and thumb and install it hand tight.

The oil fill cap is on the right crankcase cover (top, near the back).

The oil dip stick is on the right crankcase cover (center).

Check the oil level when the bike is upright and don't s***w the dip stick in - let it rest on it's threads when checking the level.

Fill with 20W-50 motor oil to the top line of the dip stick.

s***w in the dip stick and oil fill cap.

Start and run the engine for a few minutes to fill the oil filter and circulate throughout the engine.

Turn off the engine and let it sit for a few minutes to let the oil drain down to the crankcase.

    Check the oil level.

Add or drain oil as necessary.

Go for a ride and check for leaks.

    Put the plastics back on.

    Re-cycle the oil and filter.
