I scored these one night about 5 years ago when my buddy and I were out on our Monday night trash picking run. He kept the mowers and i kept the vacuums-our respective businesses.

Well, as we approached these babies I asked Charlie to slow his truck, " Hey, it looks like those panels laying down might be something." I said.

" Awe no. Those are just office partitions"

" Wait, let me get out. I think they're Magnaplanars!"

" Whu??"

" Hey Charlie they are! They're mine!!"

" Uh' I don't care. Throw'em in."

Charlie was the best guy to go trash picking with because he didn't care about anything but lawnmowers.

I'm a musician and I have acute hearing, so when it comes to sound I pretty much need the best. Fortunately there is a gentleman who designed a beautifully sounding speaker that when put at an ordinary listening level, like for watching T.V, there is no match at ANY cost. They fill a room with sound, but go in the next room and you can barely hear them. Nice!

So any ideas to fix?

  1. Even inexpensive Maggies require good amplification.  I do not know of any amps under $1000 which would give them justice.

Welcome to the world of hi-fi.

  2. If your speakers are made of poly or paper .You can use polyurethane nail polish. No B.S. done it many times.
