Anyone know how to get a refund back for the Toshiba HD DVD?

I bought a Toshiba A3 HD DVD in december at wal-mart for $300 plus tax everything out there is blu-ray now and I read wal-mart and target will no longer carry HD DVD's now Toshiba isn't making HD DVD players anymore or anything else for this player Anyone know how we can get refunds for this???? I am pissed. I'm sure alot of people are pissed.

  1. Did you keep your receipt and packaging? Did you try to return it to Wal-Mart? I think it may qualify under the 90 day return rule. Can't hurt to try, instead of being p-o'ed.


  2. I work at Walmart Customer Service desk and we have 90 day warranty with the receipt, if you dont have the receipt then there is really nothing you can do except go through the manufactuer. MAke sure you have all the paper work and remote, you really need to have the box, they'll let you go on that. I would return it as soon as u can before your 90 days is up

  3. I have the same issue....look on the bright side - I bet HD DVD's go down in price substantially...then again there isnt very many out.

  4. I know it sucks, I paid 350 for a drive for my hp pavilion dv9500t and now its worth nothing

  5. I don't think you can do anything, you choose the wrong side in the format war.
