Anyone know how to get rid of shaving rash?

Every time i shave after i finish i have a burning sensation and a rash appears under my chin.I went to the doc and he recommended i let it grow Ive tried this 3 or 4 times and still no luck the rash is still there i also notice that if im wearing a jumper and its rubbing off my face loads of little spots appear after i have shaven anyone have any recommendations on what to use ive tried loreal shaving balm which is supposed to soothe shaving rash and antiseptic cream and still no luck so any help would be greatly appreciated and please dont reply with google it as i seem to be getting this answer alot thanks.
