I am interested in making a knitting needle bracelet. I would prefer metal, but want to try plastic as well. Anyone have instructions? Here is a picture for a sample:

  1. for the plastic ones, it looks like they heated up the needles and then wrapped them around a form and let them cool. the chunky metal one is just a knitting needle that has been cut up. not sure how they bent the metal ones other than the same method as the plastic ones. make sure when you heat up the needles to keep the room well ventilated!

  2. I'm going to take a wild guess here and say you could probably drop the plastic knitting needle into a large pot of boiling water, take it out with some tongs and wrap it around a soda can, drinking glass, or something of this sort.  I would say the boiling water would make it very pliable with little risk of melting it.

  3. those are cute!

i guess they have  been warmed up and bent around a circular object.

just be careful not to melt the needles!
