I've seen a lot of growth in this industry so was just curious. Does the company have to go through a vetting process by the SIA? how much can contracts be worth? Whats the average wage?

  1. not sure

  2. This profile looks at setting up a security agency, exploring the skills needed, how you can access training, who your competitors will be and how to promote your business. It also summarises the legal and other important issues facing the market.

According to the British Security Industry Association (BSIA), security businesses turn over more than £5 billion annually and employ around 600,000 men and women. The industry is becoming more professional and better regulated and, as a result, average costs and wages are likely to rise over the coming years.

  4. You should make enquiries through your local council offices.  I do believe you need a licence to operate.
