Anyone know how to skimboard on waves?

Right now I have only tried sand skimming, and I wanted to know how to wave skim because it looks amazing. Any tips?

go out like your sand skimming but time it so theres a nice wave coming in and make a line for where its gonna break... if your not going fast enough ur gonna have to pump (push up and down with ur front leg) to keep going...

and p.s. this only really works if its a shorebreak (the wave breaks close to shore) not far out or u will get really small waves.
