Anyone know how to use Open Office?

I've downloaded Open Office from the website and all I have is a list of files on my desktop. What do I do to begin using the program?

almost similar to msoffice. to improve msoffice choose tools,options, memory - reduce undo, increase cache and memory.

Click on setup.exe or install.exe, it will probably show up in the folder as install or setup, click on those to install openoffice, then you can delete the openoffice folder on your desktop

depends on what you need to do (just like with microsoft office)....click on the program and see what it does first

I'm not sure how OO works on Windows (I'm a Linux user), but usually when you download a program for Windows, you need to run a an installer after you download the files. Open Office downloads an exe file that will install the program. Once it is installed, you should just be able to run the application by clicking on it.

When you open the program, you should get a screen that gives you a list of options such as whether to open a new or existing document, and whether you want a text document, spreadsheet, presentation or drawing.
