i dont think you can, maybe fir certian shows on there website (for example the office is on the nbc so on nbc.com they have the office but not live. im not sure if they still do becaseu of the strike.) i do know if you puti n a dvd a program should pop up but idk.

If you have a tv you'd like to watch buy a slingbox!  I had a tv tuner before, and I think they're garbage.  Unless you have a great computer with all this memory.  The slingbox can hook up to your Cable Box, TV, Tivo, or DVD player and it allows you to watch your tv from anywhere with an internet connection.  You just hook up the slingbox to your TV or whatever you'd like and install the software to your desktop/laptop. Very simple to set up. The only draw back is, if someone is home watching the TV they are forced to watch what you're watching.. including all your channel surfing.   Best part is, if you have a good phone you can d/l the software to the phone and watch on your phone.  They're about $125 and full of awesome.

You have to buy a T.V Tuner. There are some cheap ones out there. Here is a good link to some really cheap T.V Tuners.

You need a TV Tuner.  It's a device that plugs into your PC, either USB or PCI (inside the PC).  You install the software that comes with it, you plug your cable into the device and watch TV using the software.

You can look on the net and read reviews to find a good TV Tuner.  I know ATI makes some good ones but there might be better ones.
