  1. The London Embassy actively discourages enquiries about visa processing, whether by phone, email or regular mail.  This is so that they can concentrate on actually doing the processing.

I have found the premium rate line to be helpful in getting general information.  I was in the process of immigrating around 9/11 and they were able to tell me the likely delay and give general, but useful information.

Of course, a lot depends on the type of visa you are applying for.  I moved to the USA on a Fiance Visa.  My petition was approved in mid-June, I got paperwork from the Embassy in early August, which I sent back by return.  I got my interview date in early September for early-mid October and was on the plane (one way ticket!) at the end of October.

  2. only to phone White House -done !

  3. The US Embassy in London does not provide an email address to check visa status. They list one email address, and specify that it is NOT for visa or immigration enquiries.

  4. The US Embassy not only discourages email enquiries but has been known to block your email address if you email them. If you first call the premium rate information line and the person who takes your call thinks you need to email the Embassy then you will be given a code to put in the subject line of an email. Without this code your email will most likely be deleted unread, with it you may get a reply in a week or two.

  5. no, there is not ,

the best way for visa is to go to their home page ,

when one applys for a visa? email are usually not considered in vue of volume of mails received

therefore it is always best to go to the home page of visa to see what all is required for visa application :
