  1. I could only go with my naked eye here. The ball appeared to be skidding through faster than what I saw in Wimbledon last year. So yes, it does appear faster.

  2. I agree with terminator above, the Queen's Club courts are probably faster than Wimbledon's.  That's probably one of the reasons why roddick has won there 4 times, along with the fact that Federer doesn't play that event.

  3. I believe Queen's Club is faster as they still use the old 70-80% Rye/20-30% Creeping Red Fescue that Wimbledon used to.  In 2001, Wimbledon switched to 100% Perennial Rye and a harder packed soil so that the lawns could withstand the rigors of the "modern game"; (read: the increasing number of players who themselves refuse to adapt to the characteristics of grass courts by staying back and retrieving rather than moving forward.)

  4. If I were to venture a guess I would say a tad bit faster since Wimbledon has tried to slow their courts down somemore even after hybriding the grass seed a few years back. I doubt that Artois would have gone through all the trouble.

  5. Why you asking? you afraid Roddick will loose to Nadal at Wimbledon too? so am I. As is is right now, the Artois courts are a bit faster but as Wimbledon goes on, the courts get faster and faster. so I think before they rich the semis, they will be faster than the Artois courts so Roddick has a better chance of defeating Nadal at Wimbledon. Hope this helps!!!
