Hello, first of all I want to tell you I have checked out tons of work at home jobs..going to extremes of looking them up on the Better Business Bureau website..all the ones I have found have a NEGATIVE file..then I came across this work at home job..looked them up and they are satisfactory..they have been in business for 9 yrs now.  I took the first step by giving them a chance and it is the best decision I have made for myself..they train, give you everything you need to actually make money and everyone who works for them are extremely helpful.  I urge you to look over their site and watch the video that is presented (which tells you what the business is about and how you make a profitable paycheck).  If you have any questions or just need more information please feel free to contact me, I dont mind helping at all!!!  Just thought Id let you know about this because I have went thru the same thing you are going thru..looking at tons of online jobs to find nothing but a waste of my time.  Good luck with whatever you choose to do!!

What kind of work are you looking for? I know that you can be a medical transcriptionist and work from home but first you have to get trained for it. I know that in my town, there are city colleges that offer classes and then they will also help you get a job after you graduate.

You can also be a free lance web content writer from home but you have to have writing experience.

There's always sales but some people don't like doing that either.

I've heard that some companies will let you be a remote worker (or telecommuter) if your job duties lend itself to doing it from home. Like a secretary would not have the right kind of job to be a remote worker since she has to be in the office to help her boss.

There are several work at home options that are out there.  If you are looking to work at your computer at home, one legit company is Live-Ops which is like virtual secretary work.  I know someone who works for this company and it is very legit.  However, you do have to have a quiet place to work, which for me is impossible with a 2 year old at home. :)

You can sometimes find legit work at home opportunity on sites like Craigslist if you check "telecommute" at the top, but it really depends on the industry.

If you are interested at all in doing home parties, I adore Spa Girl Parties, a small but quickly growing company.  I do spa parties (so fun!) in homes.  I bring all the stuff and the girls do fun self-pampering hand rescue treatments and 4 step pedicures.  Everyone loves the parties and products, and I make about $100 per party.  Plus, I get out for 2 hours or so once a week (or more if I want to) for some social time with other women.   It's really easy to get bookings since everyone has so much fun at the party, several of them book their own that night.
