  1. i have to agree with heather. other than florida, utah is known for adoption corruption.  i would consider looking into foster care.

  2. You could look into the foster care system in Utah.

  3. Take some time to go to your library and read some books on adoptions. I really feel you will learn alot and see where you need to go to avoid problems with agencies. There are so many ways within the law that can bring heartaches if you don't know ahead of time what to avoid, or something wasn't written on the adoption papers. Good Luck and peace of mind in your efforts.

  4. I understand from others that Utah does not have a good reputation for adoption.  That is sad.  Have you considered foster adopt as an option?  You may want to contact your local Dept of Human Services, Children & Youth Division for more information on that program.

While I cannot recommend a good agency in Utah, I do know that Adoptions from the Heart in NJ was very good.  www.adoptionsfromtheheart.org.  You may want to try contacting them and see if they can refer you to another agency that they have worked with.  They were wonderful by our son, his bio-family, and us.  His bio family still raves about the wonderful job the adoption agency did, so I feel that they did what was best in our son's interest.

    Good luck to you.

  5. I would say chances are, in Utah ( the state known as the worst most corrupt state for doing adoption in ) you're going to find very FEW if ANY GOOD agencies.

  6. Try LDS there good at stealing babies and if they can't get you one from there they will be glad to fly you in a birth mother so the father won't know where his child is. They already have a case there Matt Tennison. Sad case father won't get his son back and adopted couple will be explaining to this child just why they took him from his true father. Like I said go to LDS they are cheap but you need to be a member of their church

  7. Utah is terrible.  They ship expectant mothers from other states so they can avoid notifying the fathers and to avoid any interference from extended family.  Look into foster care if you want to adopt.  But look into the reasons the child is in foster care, because sometimes social services is just as corrupt (they take "marketable" kids from parents with BS claims of abuse, but never return the child even when the abuse claims are unfounded- social workers make $$$ when they can adopt out a child).

Maybe you should just accept that you cannot have children?  You live in a horribly corruptive state when it comes to adoption.  No matter what route you take, you will end up with a child who should not be with you (has a father who wants them or were unjustly taken from family).

  8. I agree with GWRA, and other posters telling you about Utah's level of coruptness.

Please boycott the adoption industry. It is evil. Enjoy a childfree lifestyle, use your free time and resources to help MANY children by working for adoption reforms.

  9. Utah (cough, splutter)  the adoption corruption capital of the States . . .

    Um, no.

All I can say is check out their track record and code of ethics.  They do like to get their Mom's to hop across state lines to avoid the father claiming his rights - Utah agencies are renowned for that
