Car hire in Spain is fairly cheap and the roads are very much improved these days.

log into a site called e-travail and go into flights and enter where you want to go and if you want to return and you should get the cheapest flights

I'm genuinely trying to help here, so don't misunderstand!  I just wonder why you're flying to Valencia for Benidorm.

Alicante is so much closer to Benidorm that unless you get a (very rare!) £1 flight to Valencia you'd save time and money by going to Alicante.
