In my 27 years as a health broker, I have yet to see a vision policy that is worth paying for. Group plans are different.

In your case, check the Sunday paper for discounts and ask for a "negotiated lower cost" on your services.

Think about it.  You pay a little money every month into a fund where everybody gets glasses, and lets get some employees in here, and some benefits, and some offices, and a CEO, and some advertising, oh yea, don't forget about some doctors that will do some exams for real cheap so this big insurance company can make some more and more and more money...

Go to "Doctors Vision Works" and get two pairs for $100 and be done with it.
