Anyone know of a good dining table for us?

We have 4 kids so we are a family of 6 and we have a small kitchen (no dining room). Right now we have a large 6 person table that takes up most of the kitchen.

We are looking for something that will seat up to 6 but not take up so much room. The table we have now is 69 X 40 inches. This would be ok if it had a leaf in the middle we could take out when we don't need it but it doesn't.

My husband works second shift and is rarely home for dinner so it's not like we use a large table that often. I've looked and round tables are no good because they take up even more room than a rectangle one. Anyone have any good space saving ideas for a dining table?

have you tried a round table that you can put a leaf in to make oval.. when it the leaf is out they are not very big ( we have a small kitchen too and have used this)  We have also used the Knook syle with the bench that goes along the wall with a picnic type bench on the out side.. this seats quite a few and it space saving
