Does anyone know of an online school in Stockton, CA? I'm trying to homeschool my daughter who is in kindergarten. I've heard of free online schools but fail to find any. If anyone currently uses one or knows of one I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

  1. I am in 11Th grade and i do homeschooling. on line through k12.com  they are really good and you should be able to find a school in your area associated with k12.

  2. California offers a virtual academy thru k12.com.  Just go to the website (www.k12.com) and follow the links.  I believe it says something like "virtual academies in your state" or something like that.  It is an excellent program with lots of support for parents.  Good luck!

  3. Here is the link to the CA Virtual Academies, or "CAVA".  They use the K12 curriculum, which I've used for five years.

    http://caliva.org/

I'm sure Connections Academy, that uses the Calvert curriculum, is in CA also.

  4. k12 actually comes from California look it up but check all options some time public schools offer homeschooling threw them they do all lesson plans for you but no computer k12 actually gives you a computer free and lessons prepared for you  go to your local library and check out books on home school and web sites if they don't have them at your library talk with them and they will order from other library's  it is  a good way to get started then call your education dept they can be very helpful Good luck
