My fiance and I are looking for a place to go on our honeymoon. I would love to go to St Lucia. I've been looking on different websites at places but there are just so many options and I would like to hear people's opinions that have been to some of them. It will be our first real vacation just the two of us have had in the 8 years we've been together and I just want it to be nice and kinda private and not super expensive... Can anyone help me out??? Thanks in advance!

  1. St. Lucia is a great Caribbean destination, and would make a special honeymoon spot.

Unlike my esteemed colleagues above, I tend to avoid the chain all-inclusives, preferring for a more unique experience -- one befitting the once-in-a-lifetime magic of a honeymoon.

Below are a couple of properties in St. Lucia that I highly recommend for their luxurious amenities, breath taking views, phenominal cuisine, and intimate private settings, perfect for a honeymoon.

Best to you on your upcoming honeymoon!

  2. I am a certified Travel Agent and one of my specialties is honeymoons & the Caribbean.

St. Lucia is a wonderful honeymoon destination and I HIGHLY recommend a Sandals Resort.  There are three of these resorts in St. Lucia and if you stay at one you get to dine and play at the other as well.  Sandals is a top rated All-Inclusive Resort for adults (18 and older) only!  So you pay one up front price for all your fine dining, rooming, entertainment, watersports, and even alcohol.  You don't even have to leave the resort if you do not want to because their is so much to do there!  There is also an amazing spa for all the pampering you would need on your honeymoon.  Sandals caters to honeymooners even offering them free gifts upon arrival.  This is a very luxurious, romantic, and fun place to spend a honeymoon.  Please visit the site http://www.sandals.com for more informaiton on the Sandals Resorts in St. Lucia.  Also, I would love to help you plan your honeymoon so feel free to contact me.

  3. Sandals is great and all inclusive however if this does not fit your budget there is also Coco Palms.

I have stayed here and it was lovely.  The staff were very hospitable and there was lots close with regards to dining places, bars, beaches, gelato cafe, supermarket, etc.

The check in and check out was done in your room which was a nice touch.  The hotel is Italian designed small and quaint.  There are a selections of rooms including secluded ones that you can swim right up to if you are on the ground floor.

Hope this has helped you somewhat.

  4. You could try TripAdvisor.com for opinions from past guests.  However, be aware that that site censors out any references to crime, and some of the remote resorts on St. L. have had problems with crime.  [Do a search on "tourist crime in St. Lucia" for more about that.]
