  1. Try these:

    Elvia's on Fondren at Westheimer:

    2727 Fondren Road

    Houston, TX 77063

    713 266 9631

    elviaspub@aol.com

    Open Hours

    noon-2am daily

If you like the sounds of salsa, try out Houston's hottest and best Latino club. Dance the night away to a live salsa band.

Also, try this little Cuban restaurant on Clay Road near Highway 6.  The Cuban food is the best in the city, inexpensive, and they have a dance floor with a DJ in the back with great music for dancing.  It more of a family atmosphere than a bar which your mom might like.  Anyway, I highly recommend it.

Have a great time with your mom!

EDIT:  Well, I think it would help if I gave you the name and address, etc, (Sorry, long day at the office).

    Flor De Cuba

    (281) 463-8611

    16233 Clay Rd, #344

    Houston, TX

  2. Taco Milagro(5858 Westheimer Rd) or Mi Luna(Rice Village) both have great food and music. At night they turn into salsa merengue clubs with live bands sometimes.  Go on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night and your sure to find a crowd.
