Anyone know of a good site for graphic designers to find freelance work?

I am a graphic and multimedia designer and I am trying to find a good (and safe) site to find freelance work? I already tried contractedwork.com and it looks like you have to pay to use and I have read some complaints about it online. Any help would be appreciated.
