Question:

Anyone know of an adoption forum where I can get answers to the questions I had?

It seems silly to ask serious questions in a forum where your desire to learn can be censored by people who don't actually read or understand the question! Where else can I ask my deleted questions and get answers from all sides of the "triad"?

BTW: For those who gave such brilliant answers, thanks, I really wish I had saved them.

  1. I SOOO hear you!  Rock on with your bad self, MamaKate!!!

Oh, and adoption threads is fabu!  I'll meet ya there!

  2. Hiya MamaKate,

Yes - adoption threads is a good triad message board.

Also - more for first mums and adoptees -

Sorry that closed minded people feel the need to have your questions deleted.

Definately copy them into a word doc - just in case.

I do hope you're not leaving here though.

    Your voice is needed.

ETA: Just wanted to add - make sure you protest the deletion of the questions - as it's an automated deletion - and when you protest - a person actually goes through the question and ascertains whether it's a violation or not.

I've had mine reinstated - and then the person who put in the bogus report - gets crosses against their name - and won't be listened to in the future if they report.

there's your first problem.  imo, there is NO "triad".  the first mothers are *&^%$ on after the adopters have her "goods".

  4. I'm sorry your question got deleted.  People in this forum can be weird sometimes.  Although I don't know of the perfect website for you to try, I'll suggest just searching "Adoption Forums" in your web browser.  Surely there will be lots of options for you to choose from.

  5. Hi MamaKate,

Still a lurker here but i love this site, followed a dear friend there:)

Take a break but do come back.  Your voice is needed here.  I've had questions and answers deleted too.  I am who i am because of dedicated people like you, who taught me to step outside my comfort zone.
