Im wanting to get into MMA and have been working out on my own. Not trying to teach myself anything, just getting stronger and working on cardio. I want to learn the ground game, I had to gain 10 pounds to make the 145 class so my knockout power wont be up to par with other guys who have to lose 10 pounds or so to make the cut. Anyway, if anyone has any info feel free to help.

  1. Go to Warrior Fighting Challenge's website and check out their forums.  You'll have to register to view their forums, but just about every top notch school in Ky. is listed there.  The website address is http://www.warriorfc.com These are schools with team members already fighting in the WFC usually.  Some decent people at that sight, but like with all thing a few soar heads too.  You'll find a lot of amater MMA fighters state wide and coaches there as well.  You'll be able to ask and get answers to this type of question more effectively at WFC's site.  As far as Louiville goes stay away from their MMA teams man.  They all cheat and bribe Ref's at the events they fight in.  Stick to the Elizabethtown area if possible.  Anywhere, but Lousiville.

  2. What part?

Paducah has a new MMA gym, Madisonville has a good gym, as well as Owensboro .  Louisville MMA is a great gym, and if you are close to Evansville, just go to Big Bully!  ;)

  3. Kentucky is a big state...where exactly IN Kentucky are you looking for a school???

I would simply start with your local Yellow Pages.
