Question:

Anyone know of any Japanese Children's stories on the internet with Japanese charatcers?

like Japanese childrens stories with the japanese charatcers, but stories that are easyfor even the younget child to read, like hirigan, katakana, simple kanji. i want to improve my hirigana reading level so i dont foget it, but anyone canhelp me please!

  1. Maybe there is too many kanji but here's some links.. if too many hard kanji then a library or bookstore is better but probably that's not an option for you. (You could ask around and when you meet Japanese, see if they have any books for kids). I just wanted to add also that this is a great way to learn to read Japanese and understand Japanese culture so kudos for trying to read children's stories.

  3. Yeah, I know a few but they aren't on the internet... But I'm feeling nice today so I'll just type it... and I also have nothing better to do right now... =] Okay, this is a classic, it's called  ÃƒÂ£Ã‚‚‚もたろう aka literally "peach boy."

    むかし むかし、ある ところに、おじいさんと 

    おばあさんが おりました。 

    おじいさんは、毎日、山へ しばかりに、おばあさんは、

    毎日、川へ せんたくに いきました。

    ある日の こと、おばあさんが いつもの ように 

    かわで せんたくして いると、 

    かわかみから ももが なながれて きました。

    おばあさんは、 ももを 手に とり。 一口 

    かじりました。

    「こりゃあ、うまい。 じいさんにも、たんと 

    くわせて やりたいのう。

    おーい、うまい ももは、 こっちゃあこーい。

    Okay, never mind. Sorry that is so small but that's all I'm doing for now Just typing that took me about 15 minutes, It's really hard to do it on an English keyboard. x[ Well if anything I'll just post the next section later. Hope this helps! Oh and by the way it's hiragana.
