Anyone know of any Rugby teams for over 40, newbie players....in the Boston, MA area?

Stay away from the D1 sides... they won't be overly accepting.

D2 sides have B-sides or 2nd sides. This might be a possibility for you.

D3 may be a good start for you. North Shore RFC in Lynn. Ironsides RFC in Boston. Middlesex RFC near Worcester.

There are a lot of teams in Massachusetts. Try visiting USARugby.org. Select the "find a club" option on the left side of the home page, choose your state, and choose senior in the league choice. You'll see a listing of various clubs, locations, websites and contacts. This is a great sport for people of all ages.

I played a little rugby in high school, and would say it is probably not a game for anyone over 40.
