  1. What grades and subjects are you looking for?  And which state do you live in?

If you can let us know the answers to the above, we can help you find what you're looking for.  Thanks! :-)

  2. I don't know of any free online homeschool programs that are good.  However, if you are looking for a low cost home education program, try Time4learning.

  3. I live in georgia also... I do not recommend the K12 program, but for the reason that it is NOT homeschool in the sense that you are free from state interference and state sponsored curriculum... are you basically trying to recreate school at home?  If so, then yes, K12 is probably for you...

what are your reasons for "homeschooling"  that would best to know to help us help you!  I love horizons by AOP... perfect for us! ( and super duper cheap if you buy from barnes and noble used section, looking them up by ISBN)

  4. This program is free:

    Here's a free math program:

You can probably find phonics/language arts programs at your library.  Here are some other tips for affordable homeschooling.  This page also includes links for places you can find used curriculum:

  5. Use your library card and internet access. Put some effort into it and learn!

  6. If you're in a state that allows virtual public charter schools, then there may be a K12 Virtual Academy/School you can attend for "free" (it's a public school ran w/ tax money).  It's not *true* homeschooling, it's still a public school, but you learn at home with guidance from your parents and overseen by a certified teacher.

Here's the page to see if there is a K12 school in your state:

We've used the K12 curriculum for five years as independent homeschoolers (Consumer Direct).  The curriculum is outstanding!
