  3. I made some time "snap" cards for my more able year twos.  They were made up of matching analogue and digital clocks.  You could also make dominos in a similar way.  I can send you a copy if you like, but they are only up to quarter hours.

Invest in a big clock or an interactive whiteboard program that has one for starters.  A good starter is when each child has an adjustable analogue clock.  Say a time, or show it as a digital time and they have to make it as fast as they can.  Do the same in reverse with whiteboards.  Show an analogue time and they have to write it as digital.

They can do the above activity as a main session in pairs, challenging each other by showing a digital or analogue time and asking their partenr to make it the other way.

Another good starter game is to make "loop" cards.  They go like this.  Every child has a card that says "I have (time).  I need (time)"  One child might have a card that says:  "I have 2 o'clock.  I need 10 minutes after half past 6."  Then the child whose card starts "I have twenty to seven" stands up and reads out their card.  You have to make them so they are all connected so that you finish with the first child.

    Hope these are useful.
