  1. watch "and the band played on"

    about aids.

  2. The movie The Day After Tomorrow. It teaches us a lesson about mother nature.

  3. probably The Happening, most people say it was a bad movie, but it had a deep message about *spoiler*

life and no one caring about the world anymore...well thats what i got out of it

  4. October Sky

    Apollo 13

  5. The Secret

  6. idiocracy its about how the some of the less intelligent  people of today may lead the world of tomorrow and how we as people should smarten up and make the world less retarded!

  7. pay it forward as fst mentioned... about doing good deeds and only wanting it to be passedto more people so every1 will be doing good deeds. in movie lives are saved and people are saved from being foresaken...

  8. if you can appreciate good, well written literature, then read Fugitive Pieces.

losing everything, haunting memories, building yourself from nothing, etc...

if you understand it, you will see the beauty in this book.

and i also recommend 'Pay it Forward' A.I. was quite sad as well.

  9. Stand and Deliver---Teaches math (movie)

Dead Poet's Society---Teaches about love, language, grief process, and literature (movie)

Mr. Holland's Opus---Teaches about music and determination and persistence (movie)

My Posse Don't Do Homework (book)---World cultures and race relations and economics

Man Without a Face (movie)---Teaches about accepting others for who they are inside and also a lesson about working toward a dream

  10. the movie sleuth.

the original and the remake are great

ironically they both have michael kane in them

its not so much of lessons that are learned than intellectual amusement and whit provided

but since you are looking for lessons it does provide a terrific example of mind games to feed off of

  11. serch educational movie on google it will work

  12. Hmm. Pay it Forward

  13. Stomp The Yard

I learned how to dance watching this movie. Now if anyone tries to serve me, I'm going to show them what time it is.

    I'm kidding, of course.

The Greatest Silence: Rape in the Congo was probably the most informative and gripping documentary that I have seen to this day. Before watching it, I was completely unaware of what their military has been doing to the ones they are supposed to protect. Educational and eye-opening.
