  1. There is a little shopping centre in Amstelveen (where loads of Japanese expats live in and around).  It is just off the Beneluxbaan, tram 5 and 51 stop "Zonnestein" and called "Kostverlorenhof" and it is rapidly turning into a Japanese corner!

In there (only a small centre), there is a Japanese restaurant, a Japanese hairdresser, a shop selling Japanese food & drink, a Korean/East Asian shop also with food, Thai restaurant and then a Japanese shop on the corner selling books, kids toys & other things (it's fairly new so I didn't really look in there). http://images.google.nl/imgres?imgurl=ht...

Otherwise there is also a food based shop at Gelderlaanplein (Buitenveldert).

  2. There is a little Japanese shop on Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal 177, mostly ceramic but also some in clothing, food, books and art supplies (and maybe more.)

    (Quality rather than cheap.)

If this is not the things you look for, many of the Chinese supermarket like shops have some Japanese things for sale too.

You will find those in the area around the Gelderse Kade and the Nieuwmarkt. And a few more places in town.
